Chaparral Park

Situated in Scottsdale, Chaparral Park is a picturesque stretch located between Chaparral and McDonald Roads, offering a range of attractions such as a serene lake, the renowned Scottsdale Greenbelt, and a designated dog park. Notably, the park unveiled a one-of-a-kind feature in 2018—a playground that is considered Arizona’s first National Demonstration site for accessibility practices. With its diverse offerings, the park is an ideal destination for leisurely walks, enjoyable picnics, and engaging in various sports activities.

Spanning an expansive 100 acres, this park boasts an array of amenities that cater to a wide range of interests. Visitors can revel in the vastness of the playground, traverse the scenic multi-use path along the greenbelt, and make use of the well-equipped Community Center and Pool. Additionally, the park encompasses a fishing and boating lake complete with a fishing pier. Sports enthusiasts will find delight in the presence of six illuminated baseball fields, two sand volleyball courts, and two half basketball courts. For those seeking shaded areas for gatherings, the park offers three reservable ramadas along with an additional drop-in ramada. To promote physical fitness, there is a 10-station exercise course available. Convenient restroom facilities are also provided throughout the park.

Please note that the park operates on a first-come, first-served basis for its amenities. However, if you plan to host a catered event or require specialty items such as inflatables, it is advisable to contact the facility in advance to confirm the insurance information of the respective company.
